Time card calculator

About TimecardMaker

TimecardMaker is published by John Moores through Mockup Maestro. It helps workers and small teams turn clock times into a reviewable record of hours, breaks and estimated gross pay. It is not an employer's payroll system and does not decide legal eligibility for overtime.

How we check calculations

Automated regression tests check supported overtime thresholds, printable output, and time conversions. The decimal converter tests 8 hours 30 minutes = 8.5 hours, minute boundaries, invalid inputs, and reverse conversion. It rejects out-of-range minute entries instead of silently reducing them. You can independently reproduce its results with the downloadable minute chart.

For a real pay period, retain dated start/end records and compare the exported timesheet with your employer's pay stub. Display rounding is not a substitute for an employer's documented rounding policy.

Editorial and legal limits

Jurisdiction guides link to official labour authorities and explain common examples. Coverage, exemptions, agreements and the regular rate can change a result. No professional legal or payroll certification is claimed. Consult the applicable authority or a qualified adviser when a classification or entitlement is disputed.

Corrections and safe reporting

We welcome reproducible examples using invented times and rates. Contact us with the page, expected arithmetic and actual result. Do not send pay stubs, employee names or other private payroll records.

Updated October 2, 2026: added reverse conversion, explicit minute validation and a downloadable conversion chart.
